Tunku Nine 10th to 14th hole

Tunku Nine 10th to 14th hole

10th Hole Par 4 - 365 meters

This par 4 favours a big drive as the fairway widens up as you approach the green. Once you fly the right side fairway bunker, the green opens up for the second shot. Pin placement will decide the mode of the second shot, which can be tricky if placed on the far left corner. There are two bunkers, one on each side of the green, with the left bunker more in play. The green breaks from back to front with an exaggerated drop through the centre of the green. There is a steep drop at the back of the green.

11th Hole Par 5 - 514 meters

This is a straightforward long down hill par 5. You are teeing blind to a wide open fairway. This hole allows you to open up off the tee to attempt reaching the pear shaped green with your second shot. There are two bunkers on each side of the green. The green breaks slightly from back to front.

12th Hole Par 4 - 337 meters

This is an interesting uphill dog-leg to the left par 4. This fairway narrows up at the landing area and caution must be taken off the tee. A long draw tee-off is favoured to approach a slightly elevated green. The bottom of the pin is not seen for the second shot. This is about the most tricky green on the course. Whilst it looks like breaking from back to front, the large back of the green is level with a basin on the back right and break away from right to left on the left back of the green. There are two sand bunkers one on each side of the green.

13th Hole Par 3 - 167 meters

Pin position plays a significant role in the approach to this green. Although teeing off to a downhill green, accuracy is paramount if pin is placed back left or back right because there is a very severe slope around the back of the green.

14th Hole Par 4 - 389 meters

Most often called the signature hole of the course, this low stroke index hole requires both length to carry a huge bunker and accuracy to avoid being in the trees on this narrow fairway. Ideally a draw ball off the tee carrying the fairway bunker puts you in a position avoiding the low hanging branches on the left. The fairway in itself is level and after you have placed a proper drive, a straight forward second shot to a large green is the reward. The green has two bunkers on each side which is being quite away from the green may not disrupt the approach shot. The green again slopes gently from back to front.
