Tunku Nine 15th to 18th hole

Tunku Nine 15th to 18th hole

15th Hole Par 3 - 200 meters

Tagged the most interesting par 3 on the course, this hole has a host of "Don't get there" - bunkers to the front and right, pond on the left and the length off the tee. The consolation is that you are playing to a large green which has some obvious drops and slopes.

16th Hole Par 4 - 323 meters

This is a relatively short par 4, played to a plateau green. Off the tee there is a large tree obstructing a direct attack (possible with a more lofted wood) and seven bunkers from tee to green narrowing the landing area off the tee. The green, relatively flat is guarded by two bunkers, one in front and another to the left.

17th Hole Par 5 - 452 meters

This par 5 plays over a hill from tee to green. The drive will be played uphill with second and third shots playing to downhill. The fairway has a deep bunker on the left when in, requires a lofted club to get out. Very reachable in two, the green is well guarded by bunkers, 4 in all. Except if the pin is placed on the far right corner, it would take a long fade shot to get close and avoid the right side bunker and a small mound at the back section of the green. The green is fast from back to front with an exaggerated drop across the centre fo the green.

18th Hole Par 4 - 391 meters

A relatively wide dog-leg to the left fairway greets the drive off the tee. The big hitters can carry the single bunker on the left of the fairway. There is a very gradual down hill slope mid way on the fairway to the green. Placing the drive on the off-centre left of the fairway opens the green for the second shot. Pin placement, as in many greens on this course, changes the approach shot quite drastically. The green is pear shaped and breaks again from back to front with a slight split level on the centre. In short, a good finishing hole.
