On 21st July, the Club had the distinct honour of hosting not one, but two affiliated clubs from Hainan, 3KM Mines Golf Club and Oak Forest Golf Club, for an inter-club match at the Putra Course.

It was a rare and meaningful occasion to welcome both partners on the same day. This marked our first home-ground encounter since formalising our affiliation in September 2024, making the event even more special.

Despite a recent typhoon in Hainan that nearly disrupted their journey, our guests arrived safely and were greeted by the warm contrast of Malaysian weather. So, what did you think of our tropical sunshine, and more importantly, our course?

Come rain or shine, you certainly brought the challenge. After a competitive day filled with tight fairways, strategic plays and genuine camaraderie, the match concluded with a well-fought 10–10 draw.

There were no losers, only mutual respect, shared honours and the promise of more spirited encounters in the near future.
