The Junior may be the one holding the club, but Mum and Dad still have plenty to do. Carry the bag. Keep the water ready. Offer the occasional “take your time”. Celebrate the good shots. Stay calm after the bad ones. And, most importantly, try not to play the round for them.

It is all part of helping a young golfer learn, compete and enjoy the game. So, to all our parents and parent-caddies walking beside them, thank you for being part of the journey.

At yesterday’s September Junior Qualifier Series, Lucas Jay Tham Zi Xuan took the top spot with an impressive gross score of 28, followed by Harry Hrshikesh Gutala on 29. Mariam Liza Yusoof secured third place on countback, while Enoch Low and Raees Iman completed the Top 5.

And another milestone worth celebrating.

Congratulations to Faris Anwar, Aiden Kok Kiayi and Chong Kenway on graduating from the KGNS Junior Qualifier Series!

To our Juniors, keep playing and learning. To our parents and parent-caddies, keep the encouragement coming. Your job isn’t over yet. There are still plenty of rounds, lessons and golf balls to go.
